Surf Life Saving Western Australia (SLSWA) is the state’s peak coastal safety and rescue organisation.

Saving lives is at the core of what we do, whether it’s through the delivery of essential lifesaving services, running our training and education programs in the community, teaching people lifesaving first aid, or giving our lifesavers the chance to hone their skills on the sand and in the water.

Every time you swim between the red and yellow flags, or take your family and friends to a patrolled beach, you’re in safe hands. 

Surf Life Saving WA has been saving lives for over 100 years. Since 1909, West Australians have been volunteering to make sure people are safe to enjoy our West Aussie beaches. 

They give up their weekends to train and patrol to preserve our way of life. 

The beach is free - but you can help make sure this vital lifesaving service is there when you need it.
