What is a Stella Spark?

The Stella Sparks campaign is an opportunity for readers and book lovers to celebrate Australian women's writing and champion cultural change by donating to the Stella Prize. Donating to the Stella Sparks campaign shows your support for the goals of the Stella Prize, and enables us to continue fighting for recognition for Australian women writers. We invite you to become a Stella Spark donor, and to join us in working towards a more equitable literary culture.

How do I become a Stella Spark? 

Become a Stella Spark by donating a minimum of $100 to the Stella Prize ($50 concession).

About the Stella Prize 

The Stella Prize is a major literary award celebrating Australian women’s writing, and an organisation that champions cultural change. Stella exists to achieve equal representation for women's writing. Much more than just an award, Stella aims to raise awareness and generate discussion; to connect lovers of literature and inspire women to write; and, vitally, to lobby for the equal inclusion of women's writing in our education system. Our vision is of an Australia that values the stories of women as highly it does those of men with tangible progress towards a richer, more representative national identity.
