The St John's Centre is an initiative of St John's Anglican Church, Glebe.

Our purpose is to strengthen and enrich the lives of those who live in Glebe and beyond, by providing a space where relationships can grow, people can be cared for and enabled to care for each other.

Within Glebe, there are almost 1800 social housing tenancies, most of which are with clients who have complex needs related to age, mental health, disability, substance abuse and homelessness.

Through the Glebe Assistance and Partnership Program (GAPP), the St John's Centre helps and supports individuals and families in social and financial need.

GAPP provides a drop-in centre and one-to-one interviews with trained community workers, including our Indigenous worker. We offer financial assistance through our emergency relief program, loans for essential household items through our No Interest Loans Scheme (NILS), referrals and other support in assisting people to live to their full capacity.

Tax deductible gifts for this program go towards supporting these programs to assist those in need in our local community.
