The Churches of Blacktown in Schools Inc. (COBIS) are seeking to raise funds to ensure the continuing presence of the Christian workers in Blacktown City public high schools. The Christian workers are in the school with three main objectives:
- To make known to the whole school community the love of God through the Lord Jesus Christ;
- To demonstrate to the whole school community the love of God through caring relationships; welfare programs within the schools; and connecting people with local churches; and
- To support and give encouragement to Christian students and staff within the schools.
Why are we collecting funds?
COBIS can only be effective as local churches; the individual believers within those churches; and businesses join together for the common purpose of ensuring this ministry continues in the local schools. We cannot continue without your help.
We also have the opportunity to increase the work. School principals recognise the valuable resource of the COBIS workers. Not only would the principals welcome the workers on a full time capacity (instead of the 2.5 days presently offered), other schools yet unreached could benefit from COBIS workers.
Key Areas of Expenditure
All funds raised will go to the financial support of the workers, and the resources needed for the work in the government schools.
