Every night, families across Brisbane are forced into motels — not by choice, but because there’s nowhere else to go.

Micah Projects is supporting over 260 families, including 500+ children, in crisis accommodation right now. 

Street homelessness is visible, but most families experiencing homelessness are hidden — living in cars, couch surfing, or staying in motels they can’t afford.

How you can help

We’re asking our community to stand with local families who don’t have a home, by helping to fund a temporary roof. 

·         $64 provides a family food bundle, suited for motel facilities

·         $230 provides one night of motel accommodation for a family

·         $1,610 sponsors a whole week stay for a family facing homelessness

·         $6,900 provides one month of shelter, while we work on longer-term housing options

Families often stay more than 365 nights in crisis motel rooms while waiting for permanent, affordable housing.
