Sydney Pet Rescue & Adoption has been  a registered charity since 2006. Our dream is a loving forever home for every pet, and no more cruelty to animals. We have a NO KILL policy, which means that we will never give up on an animal that we rescue, even if they have special needs or need expensive veterinary care. We have rescued and re-homed more than 1000 animals so far. We have helped many others through our community outreach programs and our telephone support.

We rescue and find new loving homes, for pets rescued from Death Row at the pound, where they would otherwise only get 7 days to find a home if not micro-chipped, 14 days if they are micro-chipped, and they can be, and often are put to sleep the same day, if they are surrendered by their owners. We also help people who cannot keep their pets, and other homeless animals. Our rescued pets are lovingly cared for as family members, by our foster carers, until we can find their forever homes.

We have no paid staff, and are operated completely by volunteers, so all money raised goes directly to our cause. We receive no government funding and rely completely on our own fundraising efforts, and donations from kind supporters like you to enable us to continue with our vital work.

Maintaining a NO KILL policy is expensive.

We have an ongoing critical need to raise funds for essential veterinary treatment for our rescued pets. This includes specialist care, medicines, prescription diets and other medical supplies.
