Tamil Refugee Council is a voice for Tamil refugees in Australia.

Several thousand Tamil refugees currently face the prospect of deportation, others remain indefinitely detained in onshore and offshore detention. Many have endured Australia’s regime of detention camps after fleeing from the Government of Sri Lanka for basic security of their lives. If returned, they face state-based discrimination and persecution.

Tamil Refugee Council engages in media liaison, educational work and campaigning for the rights of individuals and the refugee population as a whole
