Dolly Parton's Imagination Library is a program designed to promote early childhood literacy by providing free age-appropriate books to children from birth to five years old. The program was launched in the Glenelg Shire area in 2013 and has since distributed over 44,000 thousand books to children across the world. It was named in honour of Dolly Parton's father, who couldn't read or write.
The Sub-Fund was established by United Way Glenelg to support the Imagination Library program in perpetuity. The goal is to ensure that the program remains sustainable in the long run and continues to benefit generations of children.
By working together, we can ensure that every child in our community has access to free books and the opportunity to develop a love for reading.
Please donate today to help assist children and families living in the Glenelg Shire area to thrive!
All donations to United Way Glenelg are Tax Deductible.
