Violet Town is facing an urgent housing crisis.  The Violet Town Bush-Nursing Centre has the land, the plans and the permit approvals to build six affordable, independent-living units in the centre of town.

These units will allow ageing residents to maintain their links with community.  Further, they are designed by the community for the community – they are safe, adaptable and energy-efficient.

We are raising funds to show that the community is invested in and committed to this project.  When we then seek government funds, this project will be community supported and shovel-ready.  We believe that by raising community funds to support this building project, governments – both state and federal – will be far more willing to invest.
