The Wagga Women's Health Centre is a non government organisation which has been operating for more than 30 years providing counselling, support, referral, community education, community development and social action services to the women of Wagga Wagga.
Services provided by the centre address violence against women (including domestic violence and sexual assault), grief and loss, relationships, stress, depression, anxiety, isolation and other practical needs of women. The Wagga Women's Health Centre conducts the only freely available specialist program for women who are adult survivors of child sexual assault in Wagga Wagga and surrounding districts.
A new building was needed to accommodate the operations of the Wagga Women's Health Centre. In February 2015, after a mammoth fundraising effort, the centre moved from Morgan Street to our newly purchased premises in Peter St. Upgrades and repairs are necessary to improve our facilities and ensure services into the future.
