For the cost of a cup of coffee each month, you can provide vital support to those navigating tough times. Your contribution helps us offer counseling services, mental health education, and parenting guidance to those in need, allowing us to focus on our mission instead of constantly fundraising.
Here's how your monthly donation can make an impact:
$15 covers the cost of a single group session for an attendee.
$50 bridges the gap for a single counseling session for someone with a concession.
$70 fills the gap for someone without a concession.
$120 provides a full year of online resources, including videos, articles, and tools, to aid individuals in managing their mental health and emotional well-being.
$500 covers the gap for an entire block of 10 counseling sessions, offering essential support for mental health challenges.
$2000 supports a full term of our Parenting Workshops, aiding new families in navigating mental health and parenting challenges.
$15,000 sustains our average 'financial hardship pool' for the year.
Every donation, regardless of size, is deeply appreciated. We encourage recurring donations to ensure sustained support.
If 1,000 people donate just $5 per month, we can support 120 vulnerable and disadvantaged women and their families to access vital mental health services without any out-of-pocket expenses.
Meet Sarah (not her real name). Sarah was a client of our service and attended only because the kindness of strangers meant that she could attend with no out of pocket expenses (i.e. donations paid her fees).
Sarah had been in an FDV relationship until her second pregnancy she found herself couch surfing with one young daughter and then quickly with two young daughters.
Sarah attended individual counselling as well as groups focusing on self compassion, self care, and assertiveness. As a result Sarah found the confidence to do what she had always been told she would never do. She found the courage to enrol in TAFE and after studying she was employed in her dream job.
Sarah was so excited to come back to WHWS and tell us her great news, not only was she employed but she had secured a rental. Her two girls now, not only had a bedroom, but they had a bed. Sarah was so excited that she had been given a bookshelf. Every week when they came to WHWS the girls looked at the books on the book exchange but every week they would have to leave those books behind. Where do you keep books when you are living out of a backpack and don't know where you will be sleeping tonight? Sarah was brimming with joy at the idea of taking her girls to the op shop so they could choose their very own books to go on their very own bookshelf!
The donations of people like you make stories like this possible!
Together, we can create a brighter future for those in need. 💜
