WIRES NSW Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service Inc., has been serving the community, rescuing and caring for native animals for over 35 years. WIRES mission is to actively rehabilitate and preserve Australian wildlife and to inspire others to do the same.
WIRES Rescue Office operates 24-hours, 365 days a year to help the community to assist native wildlife in distress. In the last financial year WIRES received over 200,000 rescue requests to help wildlife, providing rescue advice, wildlife information and education to the community and providing rescue and care services to tens of thousands of native animals.
WIRES have volunteers across 28 regional branches in NSW who are actively engaged in local communities providing wildlife information, rescue and care services on an ongoing basis. In the last financial year we also trained hundreds of new volunteers in wildlife rescue and care.
