The collection of diseases known as Charcot-Marie-Tooth impacts around 1 in every 2500 people (or 10,000 people in Australia) and result in symptoms of physical deformity primarily of the hands and feet causing walking and dexterity issues, and poor balance. Researchers are gaining an increased understanding of this disease and with better funding cures are becoming within reach.
