Terms and Conditions for Volunteers at Brave Brothers Men's Health Charity
Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer at Brave Brothers. As a valued volunteer, your contribution is essential in supporting our mission to improve men’s health and wellbeing. Please carefully review the following terms and conditions, which outline your responsibilities and rights under Australian law and within Brave Brothers' policies.

1. Volunteer Agreement
1.1 Volunteers will enter into a Volunteer Agreement with Brave Brothers to define their role and clarify mutual expectations. This agreement does not constitute a contract of employment and does not create an employer-employee relationship.

1.2 Volunteers are not entitled to monetary compensation, superannuation, or benefits under the Fair Work Act 2009.

2. Eligibility
2.1 Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age unless otherwise approved in writing by Brave Brothers.

2.2 Volunteers are required to provide proof of identity and, if applicable, any qualifications or licenses necessary for their role.

2.3 Volunteers may need to undergo a National Police Check and/or a Working With Children Check in compliance with Australian legal requirements.

3. Code of Conduct
3.1 Volunteers must adhere to the Brave Brothers Code of Conduct, which requires:

Treating all individuals with respect, dignity, and confidentiality.
Acting honestly, ethically, and in the best interest of Brave Brothers.
Complying with all relevant policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
3.2 Any breach of the Code of Conduct may result in termination of the volunteer agreement.

4. Duties and Responsibilities
4.1 Volunteers will:

Carry out assigned duties to the best of their ability.
Follow instructions and report to their designated supervisor.
Notify Brave Brothers as early as possible if unable to attend scheduled activities.
4.2 Volunteers are not authorized to:

Represent Brave Brothers publicly unless explicitly permitted.
Enter into agreements or make commitments on behalf of the charity.
5. Workplace Health and Safety (WHS)
5.1 Brave Brothers is committed to providing a safe environment for volunteers. Volunteers must:

Follow WHS policies and procedures.
Report any hazards, incidents, or injuries promptly to their supervisor.
5.2 Volunteers are covered by volunteer personal accident insurance while performing approved tasks for Brave Brothers.

6. Confidentiality and Privacy
6.1 Volunteers must respect the confidentiality of sensitive information related to Brave Brothers, its clients, and stakeholders.

6.2 Volunteers must not disclose personal information unless authorized or legally required to do so.

6.3 Volunteers agree to comply with Australian privacy laws, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

7. Training and Support
7.1 Brave Brothers will provide relevant training, orientation, and ongoing support to enable volunteers to fulfill their roles effectively.

7.2 Volunteers are encouraged to provide feedback and seek assistance whenever needed.

8. Intellectual Property
8.1 Any materials or content created by volunteers as part of their role remain the property of Brave Brothers unless otherwise agreed in writing.

9. Termination of Agreement
9.1 Volunteers may terminate their involvement with Brave Brothers at any time by providing reasonable notice.

9.2 Brave Brothers reserves the right to end the Volunteer Agreement at any time, particularly in cases of misconduct, non-compliance, or role redundancy.

10. Dispute Resolution
10.1 Brave Brothers aims to resolve disputes promptly and fairly. Volunteers should raise concerns with their supervisor or the Volunteer Coordinator in the first instance.

10.2 If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, a formal process may be initiated, following Brave Brothers' policies and relevant Australian laws.

11. Acknowledgment
By submitting the Volunteer Application, volunteers acknowledge they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions and will uphold the values and mission of Brave Brothers.
