Hobsons Bay Wetlands Centre Inc. is a not-for-profit charity that aims to protect and enhance the biodiversity of the wetlands along the north-western shoreline of Port Phillip Bay through conservation and research by connecting people with nature. The group is currently housed in the Truganina Explosives Reserve building, 274 Queen Street, Altona and is working towards a purpose-built Centre near the Cheetham Wetlands and Truganina Park.
Membership is open to anyone who supports our vision, purpose, values and constitution. We provide opportunities for the community to engage in nature-based activities to benefit their health and wellbeing and enrich their appreciation of nature. Everyone is encouraged to contribute to caring for the wetlands. For more information about the Hobsons Bay Wetlands Centre, go to https://hobsonsbaywetlandscentre.org.au.
