Hush is doing it tough. We are experiencing the downstream effects of devastating budget cuts and complex conditions for spending in healthcare. At the same time, hospitals, primary care and aged care are more stretched and stressed than ever whilst the need for our work is more urgent than ever before. We are more vulnerable financially than we have been in 25 years of bringing positive change, joy and care to healthcare staff, patients and families. We’re asking you to contribute with whatever you can afford to donate. We are doing our utmost to make sure our mission continues but the current financial position we are in is putting our place in this landscape in question.
Don’t just take our word for it that our work makes a difference. One of the world’s most respected leaders in healthcare improvement, Don Berwick says that Gathering of Kindness is “pioneering, amazing and needs to take over the planet”, has urged leaders to be courageous and get involved, and has shared our story around the world. People who have participated in a Gathering of Kindness say the event was “extraordinary”, “outstanding”, “active, fun, engaging and creative”; that they have been “completely blown away”, “raving about it to everyone they speak to”; that “the need for action has never been clearer”; that they have “such gratitude for the amazing work that is being done" and that they “can’t wait to see the worldwide spread of Hush Foundation”.
Please help us to stay afloat so that we can keep doing our impactful and important work. We’re asking all our supporters to consider a $100 donation or more this end of financial year (tax deductible), and to ask your friends and colleagues to support us too. Our wonderful friends at Pressroom Philanthropy have offered to match every dollar we raise, up to $20,000.
